Woman charged in crash that killed postal worker

No one expects their loved one will go to work in the morning and not return home that night. Unfortunately, this is what happened to a postal worker recently in Fayetteville.

A postal worker was driving his delivery truck on Morganton Road in Fayetteville when it was struck from behind by another vehicle. The postal worker was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman who was driving the car that hit the mail truck has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. The driver of that car is the wife of a Fayetteville City Council member.

Cary area residents need to slow down and pay attention when they're out on the road. When a person is distracted, speeding, driving while intoxicated or engages in other dangerous activities, a serious accident can occur. If a family finds themselves in the situation where they or a loved one has been seriously injured or killed in a car accident through no fault of their own, they may want to speak with a legal professional skilled in personal injury cases. An attorney can help the family get answers as to what happened to their family member. They can visit the accident scene, interview witnesses, and review police reports. Compensation may be available for medical expenses, pain and suffering and other damages.

Hundreds of tragic accidents occur every year in North Carolina. Families who are affected by these accidents often suffer financial hardships due to being out of work and having mounting medical bills. These families have legal rights to hold negligent parties responsible for their mistakes.
