Car crash kills 3; driver facing charges

| Mar 14, 2018 | Fatal Motor Vehicle Accidents

No one in the Cary area believes they will be seriously injured or even killed in a car accident. Unfortunately, hundreds of families are faced with a fatal accident each year, many of which are caused by negligent driving.

A devastating accident recently occurred in Nash County. A man was driving at a high rate of speed on Highway 231 when another vehicle turned left in front of him. The man hit the other car on the driver’s side. The man driving the speeding car was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries. One passenger in his car was killed, along with two people in the other car. The driver is facing charges of speeding and death by motor vehicle.

No one expects they will lose a beloved family member in a car crash. When the accident was caused by another person’s negligence, it can be even harder to take. Just the thought that if the other person would have been more careful their loved one would still be alive today is a sad reality for many Cary residents. If a family is in this situation, they may want to speak with a legal professional who is skilled in personal injury. An attorney can help a family find out what happened to their loved one. They can visit the accident scene, review police reports, interview witnesses and help find out who was at fault. Compensation may be available for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, funeral expenses and other damages.

Fatal car accidents affect hundreds of North Carolina residents each year. Holding negligent drivers accountable for their mistakes is important to make sure they don’t harm anyone else.
